If you got a paye job in dublin and they offering 65,000 a year, 39hrs pw. From what I read you pay 20% on first 40,000 and 40% on the remainder..

Is this true Nicebutdim?

Dooblin dusty dazzler.. I'm nearly certain I'm not far off how it works, and explains why local sparks never want overtime.unless RCT.

You don’t pay any tax on the first £12,570pa according to the link.... then 20% to the next threshold, 40% over that.

if you slip into the higher tax bracket, then good on you for getting a well paid job.

Reminds me of young apprentices really taking the hump because they suddenly had to start paying any tax at all.

That's UK, not Republic of Ireland.

Republic of Ireland is a bit of a different setup, it's in Euro's for a start?
