Hi guys,

I am going to a job Sunday and trying to gather as much info as possible before attending.

I believe I am looking at an elster a1140 export meter with an issue.

Solar PV on a gym, generation meter all reading fine (metered board for the inverters)...

The issue is with the export meter at the plant room, I believe this has its own 6A local supply but has CT connections around the incoming 3 phases. This has been in situe over 5 years now and has yet to register a KWH which is beyond belief.

My question is that how do I test the correct polarity on a CT, with it being export should the arrow point towards the supply or the load. If I have to disconnect the CT's do I have to short them out together before reconnecting?

I have never worked with CT's, I have searched youtube but I am just hoping for some basics on what my issue could be (hoping its a simple one!)

Thanks
