Replacing a light fixture in an older home. The ceiling box has two cables, each with a hot and a neutral (photo attached). The old fixture had two bulb sockets and was wired with a hot wire to each socket and the neutrals connected and capped. My new fixture has only one hot and one neutral wire but I can’t figure out how to properly connect the fixture. Please let me know if you can help!

Are you sure that it’s 2 hot wires ? It looks like 1 cable is live and the other cable goes to the next light, so tie the blacks together and tie the whites together plus the grounds together and hook up your light. Black to the 2 blacks and white to the 2 whites plus the ground the same way.
