I recently had some landscape lighting put in and wanted to hook up the transformers to a smart plug so I can control them with my phone and have them on a timer etc. Currently, as setup by the electrician, the two transformers are in a double adapter plugged into a normal wall socket and it works all well and fine.

The smart plug I'm looking at has an input of 100V-240V~,50/60Hz,10A Max, 2400W Max, and an output of 100V-240V~,50/60Hz,10A Max, 2400W Max. And both transformers have an input of 230-240v ~ 50Hz, and an output of 12Vac 500Ma 60VA.

What I want to know is, is it safe to move that double adapter with the transformers to the smart plug or would it be better to have two of those smart plugs with one for each transformer?

Really though, can the smart plugs handle the output of the transformers? I'm here seeking advice from the experts before I go out and buy the smart plugs as I don't want to run any fire risks, etc.

Just the one smart plug will easily carry the load from both transformers.
Just be sure that if they are outside, they are suitably enclosed against rain and vermin
