Next week I'm starting to build a few built-in wardrobes for the bedrooms and I've hit a brick wall on the lightning element.
Normally I run 1.5mm 2-core from a junction box to the different LED strip light locations, and then from the junction box to the LED driver and from there to a (switched) supply.

I would prefer to stick to generic parts so that if anything fails down the line, its a simpler replacement. However when it comes to these cabinet/door sensors, every single one seems to demand get the whole kit due to proprietary connectors, i.e. you need their wires from driver to LED tape, in many cases you need their tape, their driver etc.

examples below

I appreciate that technically I could cut off their connectors once I've got past the door sensor part of the equation but do any manufacturers make the kit so that off the shelf it allows you to just use your standard setup?

I would rather go for one or two of THESE. Available in 3 sizes, built in PIR and last for ages between charge and very simple to fit.
